Commune's and 'Christ-Socialism'

Some of us may remember the hippy communes of the sixty's, especially the one of Charles Manson and his followers. That was a very bad example, but at the same time, hundred's of communes around the USA and the world, lived in peace together, and some communes that are based on religion, Israel, for example, has many, work very well together.

Merriam Webster Dictionary, defines a commune as a group of people who live together and share responsibilities and possessions. Not all communes are 100% socialistic.

The oldest communes, as recorded in the Bible, the book of Acts, were Christian communes, founded by the disciples of Jesus. No doubt because of what Jesus told the rich man.

Matt.19:21 Jesus said unto him, "If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me." Not to take this verse out of context, but you can get the full context from reading Matt.19:16 - 26. We may find this just as hard to do as "Plucking out an eye, if it offends thee.", but that does not keep me from following Jesus as best as I can. The 1st Christian commune's were very socialistic, but considering that Christian were being persecuted, and thrown to the lions, no doubt it was needed.

Our constitution drafted by our forefathers who ... ".. wrought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal," ... Does not protect us from extreme socialism, and does not protect us from extreme capitalism, and both can lead to slavery.

Some commune's can be really difficult to leave, and some have children born and raised into the commune, who have no idea of how the outside world works, no job training, no contact with the outside. Brainwashed to believe that the outside world is evil. They have no way to secure a future outside of the commune. There are ways that a person can be held prisoner, even with no bars on the windows.
